Real Estate Bubble Forming in Canada
New York Times comments on Toronto's real estate market.
Price bubbles are like angry sitcom spouses: by the time one thinks to ask if something is wrong, it’s already too late. By that logic, Toronto’s market must be past the point of no return. The New York Times is the latest American newspaper to wag its finger at Canada’s real estate market. “The Canadian Real Estate Association reported that the average price of existing homes rose 19.6 per cent in January compared with those in the month a year earlier,” and compared with a 2.6 per cent growth during the same period in the U.S.

Glad to hear it. Things have been doing pretty good here in Austin, but nationally there's been so much negative news it's good to see at least our neighbor to the North has promising markets too.

It's not the whole Canada are having bad sales real estate. There are some places there who made outstanding sales. Although, the real estate business in whole Canda is considerably in downfall moment also.

I was just talking to my wife about how Vancouver housing prices just seem to be going up and up, without end. It seems that at least on the West coast, the bubble will burst sooner than on the East. I'm no realtor so I'm just guessing.
